Hello everyone! Thank you for your interest in our bags and accessories.
Here is a little about me and the origins of Incendiary Wares.
I am a lifelong resident of the New Orleans area. I live on the Northshore of Lake Pontchartrain with my two children and husband in the quiet rural area of North Covington. We have chickens, gardens and a small orchard where we recycle found items to enrich our lives and property.

After Hurricane Katrina in 2005, there were many damaged fire hoses in the city of New Orleans. My firefighter husband brought some home in hopes of using them around our property in some way. After a closer inspection, I realized the intricate weave of the hoses’ fiber created a wonderful and interesting texture. Ideas flourished abundantly and thus began my exciting adventure in creating one of a kind bags from discarded and damaged fire hoses.

I am self-taught in design and sewing, resulting in instinctive techniques and designs. All patterns used to make our fire hose bags are created and hand drawn by me. Each bag is painstakingly created, one at a time in my home studio with the utmost attention to detail. Our motto is: All things in life should be durable, functional and beautiful. Our bags exemplify this way of life to the greatest and smallest of details.
