These potholders are made from retired fire fighter bunker gear, which is resistant to heat up to 1,000 degrees. These potholders are lined with quilted, insulated material that lines firefighters’ jackets and pants and contain a thin, but effective heat barrier in between the exterior and interior layers. They provide a lightweight and heat resistant kitchen accessory without the bulk and cotton filling of comparable items.
 
The pictures are representations of what you may receive upon ordering. Each item is cut from a different part of a jacket or pant and will contain slight differences in hue, reflective strips and seams. Due to the nature of the reflective strips we recommend hand washing and laying flat to dry.
